標準答案是，你就是超喜歡幫助和教導他人。還有免費的午餐和T恤。不過，我們能理解你們都是忙碌的高中生，事情繁多，因此我們想誠懇地和你們分享，參與這樣的活動可以是一個挑戰自我、成長的好機會。

我們在高中（2019年）開始舉辦這個活動，多年來，規劃 Scratch Day 讓我們學到了許多溝通、領導和規劃的經驗。再者，Lily和我（Enoch）都有把這個活動寫在履歷上，這在申請大學時幫助我們吸引大學的目光，最近也因此獲得了一些工作機會。

相信你們也已經意識到，課本外也有許多成長的機會！如果你希望有機會學習活動策劃、教導孩子，以及與更多人分享創作的樂趣，歡迎加入我們的行列！

The correct answer is that you simply love helping and teaching people. That and the free lunch and t-shirt. But we understand that you are all busy busy high school students with a million things to do, so we'll share with you our honest opinion on why we genuinely think being part of something like this could be a productive opportunity to challenge yourself to grow.

We started doing this event when we were in high school (2019) and over the years, organizing Scratch Days has taught us many invaluable lessons about communication, leadership, and planning. Not to mention, Lily and I (Enoch) both put this experience on our resumes and it has helped us get the attention of universities and even, more recently, job opportunities. 

I'm sure you realize this already but lots of learning can happen outside of the classroom as well! Join us if you would like the opportunity to learn something about event planning, teaching kids, and sharing the simple joy of creating with more people, all in a Saturday!

我需要有程式設計經驗才能作為志工嗎？
Do I need to have programming experience to help out as a volunteer?

不需要。工作坊的內容是非常初階的 Scratch 程式設計，你不需要任何程式背景也能來協助學生。我們對志工的主要要求其實是對學生要有耐心和活潑的態度。你將協助一組小學生約2到4小時，所以在報名成為志工之前，請確保你樂意接受這樣的挑戰。謝謝！

No. The workshop content is very beginner level Scratch programming. You are not required to have any coding background to help the students out. Our main criteria for volunteers is actually patience and enthusiasm when working with students. You will be helping out a group of elementary students for around 2~4 hours, so please make sure you are happy to do so before signing up. Thanks!

我必須是IB課程的學生嗎？
Do I have to be a student in the IB program?

不需要。所有來自大園的同學都歡迎參加！

No. All students from Dayuan are welcome!

一定要我講英文嗎？
Do I have speak English?

不需要。根據我們的經驗，大多數學生更喜歡使用中文學習，因此如果你不想講英文，我們可以將你分配到這些小組。我們將盡力確保每一位學生都能用自己最熟悉的語言學習。

No. The majority of students would prefer to learn in Mandarin in our experience, so we can assign you to those groups if you prefer not to speak English. We will be doing our best to make sure the content is accessible in whichever language the student prefers (English or Mandarin).
